Room 222 | Saturday Night
Jim supposed he could have gone out tonight. He supposed he could have gone and gotten a drink and flirted and maybe gotten into a bar fight or something. And he supposed he could have been doing a lot more than he was doing but he wasn't.
Today, he'd gotten a letter from his mom, something handwritten and sincere, and he'd been taken aback. It was a good thing though it did leave him a little melancholy since he hadn't seen her in so long. He didn't tend to feel like he did but a letter home, something showing that he was missed and loved, could even make Jim Kirk a little sentimental.
He didn't know if he wanted to write back or anything like that. So, he was just thumbing the corner of the letter, reading random sentences every so often and thinking. What a Saturday night.
[Home from work, open post and open door!]
