Figures. I'm playing a show your Earthside and my people were wondering about contacting Starfleet about a show livestreamed into space.

Her team was enthusiastic about the opportunities in this multiversal touring effort they were currently wrapped up in, she'd give them that.

I already told them A) SF won't give a crap and B) you probably don't have internet.

Starfleet probably won't give a crap, no. Bigger priorities, stodgy men in charge, not wanting to let too many people have downtime. All that shit.

But, Jim kind of wanted to see it.

When is it?

In about a week. I think.

She'd been hopping around the multiverse for about a week now. It was hard to keep track of time when she was doing that.

I can look up the exact date later.

I don't know what my schedule's like but I might be able to get some time off.

He couldn't guarantee it, of course, but he'd done enough good deeds to maybe get himself a few days off.

If it's like most other stops on this tour, I'll have a full day of press pre-show, but I'll be free all evening afterwards.

Barring some mandatory socializing with the right people.

It'd be nice to see you.

Can't make any guarantees but I'll do my best. Things are kind of ever evolving here. Sometimes I can get off easily and sometimes I'm stuck working for twelve hours straight.

But, he'd built up some good karma so hopefully that gave him good leverage to ask for a night off.

Sometimes baiting was a thing. And the multiversal tour jamboree was one of those times, apparently.

It had a lot to do with communicating with someone she actually knew.

Thing was, it had been years since she'd changed names. She'd mellowed out as she'd become more secure in her identity.

"What, that constituted a call?" Jim asked as he picked up his phone.

"Why, Jimmy?"

Yeah, that was what he was getting.

"At least people have called me that before," he pointed out though he still didn't like it. "Natty's a new one."

"And it's terrible," Envy informed him.

But then again he already knew that, didn't he?

"Which is exactly why I'm going to keep using it," Jim decided. "You made that choice for me."

"You're terrible."

He knew that too. She'd only been telling him that he was no good since they'd met.
