Room 222 | Saturday Night

Jim was almost sad to figure out whatever craziness had been in the phones yesterday had stopped. It'd been pretty fun to get some insane calls from people he'd probably never talked to about things he'd never talked to them about. He'd be saving those for times when he needed a laugh.

Tonight, he had his door open for no other reason than to see who might be around on a Saturday night. It was kind of sad he was around on a Saturday night but he figured one night in wouldn't kill him. Besides, sometimes the dorms could be entertaining.

Jim was sitting on his desk chair, legs stretched out in front of him and book open in one hand. It wasn't anything special but it passed the time until he thought of something better to do. He liked reading for pleasure, anyway.

"Curiosity," Jim told her, raising an eyebrow. "I don't get insecure."

[whenshewasnice]

"I don't believe you," she told him. "Even jerks get insecure."

"I don't," he said very firmly. "But, I do get curious so tell me how it could have been better."

[whenshewasnice]

Natalie shrugged a shoulder, and dragged a few fingers down his neck again, watching her hand move. "Most good things get soured if what happens right after is a downer."

"You didn't want to stay," Jim reminded her quietly. "And then basically told me to stay away from you. Natalie, I would have let you stay if you'd wanted to stay."

"I know. I wasn't blaming you." She didn't think he'd been great in the situation, either, but she knew how much that was because she'd been difficult. "Made a few mistakes that day."

"I forgive you," he said, chuckling a little. "Is that the only way it could have been better?"

[whenshewasnice]

"I also wasn't apologizing." And she knew he knew that. She just felt like saying it anyway. "But yes. I think most other faults were mistake-adjacent."

"So, this time'll be better," Jim decided. "You should touch me again."

[whenshewasnice]

"I'm touching you right now," Natalie pointed out, tapping her fingertips against his collarbone. But, then she ducked down to press a kiss against his neck. More touching. She could do that. "You smell nice."

Maybe he just smelled like a guy.

"More compliments," he hummed, closing his eyes and sighing. "Thank you. Haven't done anything different but I appreciate the sentiment all the same."

She found another spot to kiss, a little higher up, almost right under the line of his jaw. "Maybe I'm expecting you to wise up and start complimenting me back."

"What, this isn't a one way street?" Jim joked, snickering lightly. "But, you do feel pretty good pressed against me. Solid. Strong."

[whenshewasnice]

"You have no idea," Natalie murmured. Well, she was freakishly strong. And licked where she'd just kissed him. "You feel pretty good too."

"And you've got a great tongue," he couldn't help but say since she'd just used it on him. "Great mouth in general but great tongue, Natalie. Really great."

That just meant she had to lick his neck again. Just more slowly. And a longer lick.

"I've heard that before. Although usually people compliment me on using it to say smart things."

[pursuedthestars]

"I'm sure you do say many smart things," he mumbled, sighing again. This sigh was a little longer. "But, I think I prefer your tongue when it's on me. Is that selfish? I don't care."

[whenshewasnice]

"Hardly surprising," she murmured, lips brushing against his skin. "Selfish jerk like you."

"Mmm." He wasn't going to deny that label. He was, he definitely was exactly that. Jim shifted, moving to try and encourage her to kiss him properly. "I know, I'm an awful person."

[whenshewasnice]

"You are." She moved, but licked his lip instead of kissing him. Because he'd stopped her from doing that the first time. "But I'm not much better."

"Which makes us alike even if you don't wanna admit that," he said, trying to bring her closer to him while his mind whirled on where he wanted to take her.

Literally.

"It's true."

"I think by definition, saying I'm not better is admitting similarity."

Yeah, she couldn't not be clever. But at least she kissed him right after saying that. Properly, this time.

Okay, it was pretty improper.

Jim's smile turned into a smirk at that improper kiss. He didn't care if it was improper. It felt pretty damn good.

"I'm sure I could find many ways to be an awful person to you tonight," he said and meant awful in all the good ways. He touched a thumb to her lip.

Natalie kissed his thumb, and offered him another half smile. And a little press of her hips against his because those were good words to hear and deserved something in return. "Well, go ahead then."

"Oh, but I don't know which way I want too choose!" Jim said, sounding overwhelmed. "There's just so many choices!"
