Room 222 | Sunday Morning

Jim hadn't wasted any time in getting back to his room. Hey, he would almost welcome Jackson's presence after all that time without privacy. He didn't mind the bouncy castles but man, the novelty wore off quick and he didn't like rolling over in the middle of the night and ending up splayed against the side of a castle with plastic up his nose.

He'd brought Natalie the snake back first, setting her up on his bed so she could slither around and do her snake thing before going back and getting the rest of his stuff. He'd dropped all that on the floor beside his bed and stretched before flopping down beside Natalie.

Who was still a snake.

"You ever gonna change back?" he asked idly, not expecting a response. He got none. Jim sighed and tucked an arm under his head. Snakes were not great conversation partners.

Natalie was using her newly returned limbs to the best of her ability, along with some of her unfair strength to keep him restrained. She wasn't really letting him keep her hands away from his throat for long, even if she had to get physical about it.

At this point the blanket was somewhere around her hips.

"Don't you like laughing?"

"Yes, but usually not because I'm being tickled, you jerk," he said, trying to squirm around and buck her off or something. She was a lot stronger than most girls that ended up on top of him.

That was what he got for spending time with someone who had cartoon strength. Of course he was also squirming against him in his efforts to break free, so it wasn't all that bad.

"Stop calling me a jerk, jerk."

"Stop tickling me, you ass," Jim said, trying to push her hands away from him and move around all at once.

Natalie pulled her hand away. To duck down and lick the hollow at his throat with the tip of her tongue instead.

She didn't even care if that didn't tickle. She wanted to do it.

It didn't tickle but she'd been tickling him so much that licking him sent a shiver down his spine and made him squirm again.

"I hate you," he breathed.

Natalie exhaled a quiet laugh.

"Your hate sounds an awful lot like its opposite..."

She repeated her lick.

"It's not."

It was.

"I hate you a lot, you jerk."

[whenshewasnice]

"You don't hate me." This time, she lengthened her lick way up his throat. "You don't hate me at all."

[pursuedthestars]

"I hate you a lot," he lied, tilting his head up and sighing. "A whole lot."

"Last time you told me that," she murmured right against his skin, "was right before you took me in a motel room bathroom." Such a good memory. "You didn't really hate me then either. I think you love that I can make you have to fight me, or give in."

[pursuedthestars]

"I love nothing," he murmured, trying to be stubborn even if he'd wilted under her ministrations long away. "Nothing at all."

Ignoring his lies, Natalie grazed the skin of his neck with her teeth.

"No, I think you do."

[pursuedthestars]

"You're a jerk," he said, twitching at the feel of teeth on his skin. "Jerk."

[whenshewasnice]

"Maybe." She bit down a bit more sharply, just for a second, against the curve of his neck. "But you love it. Adore it."

[pursuedthestars]

"You have no idea what you're talking about," he said, twitching again and hissing in reaction. "God, you're a jerk."

[whenshewasnice]

Natalie soothed the bitten skin with another little lick. "You don't hate me," she repeated, pressing her lips against the spot. The kiss turned into lightly sucking because she liked all his twitching and his other reactions.

She was giving him the attention he'd wanted.

"I could hate you," he mumbled, sighing quietly. "I could if I wanted to. Guess I don't wanna."

"And you don't."

Another little bite, just for fun.

"Say it."

[pursuedthestars]

"Say what?"

He knew what she wanted but he could still be stubborn.

"I just said it."

[whenshewasnice]

"Say how you feel about me," she instructed with exaggerated patience. Okay, maybe she bit down sharper again right after saying that. But still. "Say you don't hate me."

[pursuedthestars]

"Fine, fine," he said, twitching against her again. "I don't hate you. I never have. See? Happy now?"

[whenshewasnice]

Natalie shrugged one shoulder vaguely, and didn't answer for the moment it took to lick a path down his neck again.

"I could be happier."

[pursuedthestars]

"How could you be happier?" Jim asked quietly, sighing and looking down at her a bit.

[whenshewasnice]

For once, the answer to that question was pretty simple.

"If you didn't have quite as many clothes on."
