Jim hadn't wasted any time in getting back to his room. Hey, he would almost welcome Jackson's presence after all that time without privacy. He didn't mind the bouncy castles but man, the novelty wore off quick and he didn't like rolling over in the middle of the night and ending up splayed against the side of a castle with plastic up his nose.

He'd brought Natalie the snake back first, setting her up on his bed so she could slither around and do her snake thing before going back and getting the rest of his stuff. He'd dropped all that on the floor beside his bed and stretched before flopping down beside Natalie.

Who was still a snake.

"You ever gonna change back?" he asked idly, not expecting a response. He got none. Jim sighed and tucked an arm under his head. Snakes were not great conversation partners.

"And I'm a lowly assistant, anyway," Natalie drawled, making it clear she didn't actually think she was a lowly anything. It was just an expression. "Not a politician. But visiting me would probably have some of the perks of visiting one."

"Such as?" Jim asked, still smiling.

[whenshewasnice]

"Well, I won't be living in squalor." Not like a princess or anything, either. But comfortably enough, in a nice area. "Probably with some diplomatic privileges, too. Too early to tell but I'm sure fun things might be arranged."

"Oooh, diplomatic privileges," he said, wiggling his eyebrows at that. "Sounds enticing."

Natalie snorted, quietly. "Well, it's more than most recent high school grads have to offer."

"I think you've persuaded me," Jim said though he'd already been persuaded for the most part. "I'll come visit."

[whenshewasnice]

"I think you would've been persuaded if I'd just pointed out I'll have a nice bed there," she quipped. "You're easy."

[pursuedthestars]

She wasn't wrong.

"Yeah, but the extra amenities just makes the decision easier," Jim said. "And I am easy."

[whenshewasnice]

"You are." Her hand slid just slightly underneath his shirt. Nails on skin. "Insert pun here about when you're hard."

[pursuedthestars]

"Well, you would know all about that, wouldn't you?" he quipped, stretching slightly when he felt her hands on his skin.

[whenshewasnice]

"How so?" she asked, faking innocence by widening her eyes and fluttering her lashes at him. All the while idly, lightly scratching his skin.

"Has anyone but you experienced me hard these last couple of months?" Jim asked, snickering at that look on her face. "And you're not innocent at all."

[whenshewasnice]

"I could be." She kept up the expression for a moment longer, just for that. Pushing her hand further under his shirt so her nails could travel over his ribs. "As for that first question, I should hope not. Just me and you."

"You could be but you're not," Jim told her, shaking his head. "And i like you not being innocent."

"I don't think you'd like me if I was innocent," Natalie mused. "Unless you thought you could have fun corrupting me."

[pursuedthestars]

"You'd find no one better at corrupting you if that was the truth." He could give her a great introduction to being all kinds of bad.

[whenshewasnice]

"I don't doubt that." Much. "But I can't be corrupted."

Not like that, anyway.

[pursuedthestars]

"You can't be corrupted because you're already dirty and bad," Jim told her with a smirk. "And you know it."

[whenshewasnice]

"I'm not that bad," Natalie argued, leaning in for another kiss. She wasn't objecting to that other word. Didn't think she could, with a blanket at this point only barely around her naked body, and a leg around him. "I'm just right."

"You're pretty bad and that is just right," he told her, smiling against her lips. "Don't argue."

[whenshewasnice]

"You like that I argue," she retorted in a murmur. "You might get bored if I didn't. You might be shallow as hell but you still like intelligence."

"Says you."

She wasn't wrong.

[whenshewasnice]

Natalie raised an eyebrow at him, amused.

"So if I was just agreeable and pliable all the time, would you still have had as much sex with me, and enjoyed it as much too? Never mind all the other stuff."

[pursuedthestars]

"Depends on the quality of the sex," he said, arguing just to argue now.

[whenshewasnice]

"Physically the same but without the emotional and psychological give and take that goes with it between us."

Surely he'd expected her to define the quality of the sex for him.
