Room 222 | Sunday Morning

For the most part, Jim had gotten used to living with a cat. Moxy wasn't too bad and the fact that he seemed to hate Jackson made him all the more better in Jim's mind. But (and this was a big but), Moxy did like to torment Jim at times.

This morning was one of those times. Jim was right in the middle of a very, very nice dream. He wasn't going to tell anyone what it was about but that became a moot point anyway when Moxy jumped onto his back and proceeded to claw lightly at his hair and shoulders. For a second or two, Jim ignored it. Maybe Moxy would go away.

Moxy did not go away and then went about kneading at Jim's shoulders before the damn cat started pacing up and down on his back.

"Oh my god, go away," he muttered, batting at Moxy sleepily. Moxy just tumbled off his back and came to curl up right against his face. Now Jim had a mouthful of cat fur. "You're disowned."

Moxy purred and blinked in his very feline way at Jim. He knew he wasn't going anywhere.

"Ugh," Jim said and tried to go back to sleep.

"How am I supposed to know if I want to visit?" Jim retorted easily. "Spoilers are needed."

This did not surprise Natalie. She smiled to herself.

"Well, for one thing, I'm going to give you your Christmas presents."

"That's a definite good way to lure me closer," he said, nodding. "Keep going."

"Mm." She held off for a thoughtful pause. "And maybe I've bought a few new things that aren't really presents but which I'd like to show you anyway."

"Things such as....?" Jim prompted curiously.

[whenshewasnice]

"Interesting things."

She'd satisfy his curiosity in a second, but teasing was fun!

"That's very general," Jim chided, shaking his head. "I could go to the mainland and find interesting things, Natalie. How interesting is interesting?"

[whenshewasnice]

"Interesting is interesting," she quipped lazily. "Maybe a little dirty. Or, a lot dirty."

"Tell me," he chanted sweetly. "Let me in on the secret so I can have something to look forward to, Natalie."

[whenshewasnice]

"You have new experiences to look forward to," Natalie sing-songed back at him, softly, sounding amused. "New, interesting experiences."

"That could mean so many things," Jim countered with a teasing lilt. "What kind of new experiences do I have to look forward to?"

Natalie's voice turned into a seductive purr. It was a fun act she liked to pull out every once in a while when she was feeling comfortable with things.

"Ones where you get to bend over for me."

"Is that right?" She could probably hear the smirk in his voice there. "You'll really have to butter me up to get me to do that. Spoil me and all."

She probably wouldn't have to do that, actually.

Natalie didn't think she would, either. But she could pretend for a second. "Well, I also have a set of pretty nice lingerie. Garter belt and everything. So, visual pleasures."

"When did you find time to do all this shopping?" Jim wondered. "Thought you were busy."

[whenshewasnice]

"Remember I told you I came by Fandom right before the BDE?" she replied. "I took a detour on my way back to Haiti that day."

[pursuedthestars]

"I would have loved to be with you when you went on that shopping spree," he said, snickering. "Bet it was fun."

[whenshewasnice]

"No, it was pretty methodical and quick." Yeah, she'd pretty much gone to places knowing what she wanted to get. She hadn't had that much time to waste. "Trust me, you haven't missed the fun parts yet."

"I guess that's enough motivation to get me to...wherever you'd like to go," Jim told her, smirking. "I'll make room in my schedule."

He was teasing.

"Yes, your busy schedule of getting woken up by my cat," Natalie drawled. "So glad you're willing to make room for presents and sexual adventures with me."

"Shut up," he said in reply to the first part. "Did you want me to bring Moxy with me so you can see him? Or leave him here?"

"You should bring him along." A beat. "Although he'd getting shut out of the bedroom, obviously. But I've missed him."

[pursuedthestars]

"Don't want him witnessing sexual adventures?" Jim joked, laughing. "He has to learn somehow!"

He wasn't serious, oh god.

[whenshewasnice]

Natalie rolled her eyes. "I'm sure he was privy to enough when I was still living at the dorms, Jim."

"I suppose," he said, sighing. "You'll have to pick the place, though. If I'm wrangling the cat, you pick the place where I'm wrangling him to."
