Jim hadn't wasted any time in getting back to his room. Hey, he would almost welcome Jackson's presence after all that time without privacy. He didn't mind the bouncy castles but man, the novelty wore off quick and he didn't like rolling over in the middle of the night and ending up splayed against the side of a castle with plastic up his nose.

He'd brought Natalie the snake back first, setting her up on his bed so she could slither around and do her snake thing before going back and getting the rest of his stuff. He'd dropped all that on the floor beside his bed and stretched before flopping down beside Natalie.

Who was still a snake.

"You ever gonna change back?" he asked idly, not expecting a response. He got none. Jim sighed and tucked an arm under his head. Snakes were not great conversation partners.

He didn't mind at all. Not at all.

When she pulled away, his smile had widened. "I will never ever let you forget that you were inspired by me. Never."

Maybe in some years' time she'd put him in a song, and would never again have reason to argue with that claim.

Not that she was really arguing right now, either. "It goes both ways," she pointed out. "I've inspired some pretty dirty things coming out of your mouth, sometimes."

"Sometimes," he agreed with a nod. "I won't deny that. You've definitely inspired a few things in me."

"You're so cute." Hey, she could see that icon, it had to be said. "Don't start about how that's not a manly enough word for you, I'm entitled to my opinion."

"I know I am," he said, not caring about the word that she used. "But, I'm glad you think so too. I am cute."

[whenshewasnice]

"So it's not just for children anymore?" she checked, amused, as she leaned in for another teasing kiss. "Maybe you're just saying that so I won't take back my plans of giving you attention."

"I think I've had a change of heart," he murmured quietly. "Cute's not a bad word. I'm man enough to take it back."

"And you're instantly all the more manly for admitting that," Natalie teased. She caught his lip between her teeth, then released it. "Attractive."

"Turning back into a girl has really made you loose with your compliments," he said, laughing after he'd gotten his lip back. "I like it."

[whenshewasnice]

"I also have a week left before the move," she pointed out. "Maybe in addition to getting what I can, I'm also giving what I can."

"Well, feel free to keep on giving," Jim said because he didn't mind. "I'm all for it."

[whenshewasnice]

"You're cute." She just felt like saying that again. Just like she felt like kissing him again. "And your lips are beautiful." Another little kiss. Tease. "And I will probably miss you enough to ask you to visit once or twice. To unwind from my diplomatic responsibilities. To get physical instead of cerebral."

"I'm sure a few visits could be arranged," he told her after she'd kissed him. "I've never been to Haiti and I'm always good for some after hours physical fun. I am rather good at it. Or so I've been told."

By her and all.

"I hope I don't ruin your reputation with your political friends down there."

"Well I'm not about to let you run around meeting people."

She was mostly joking. Only mostly, though.

"I'm sure we can be discrete enough about our... fun, to not do permanent damage to my reputation."

"Hey, I didn't expect to meet people," Jim told her. "But, you know, someone sees me going into your room and they might start talking. Might want me for themselves."

[whenshewasnice]

"Well, they can't have you," Natalie told him, before kissing him again. Maybe to persuade him into agreeing. Maybe just for fun. "On that version of Haiti..."

Trailing her hand down his chest, she sighed against his lips, mid-sentence. Just to blow air against his lips.

"You're mine."

"I don't do well with politicians anyway," he told her, chuckling quietly and smiling down at her. "I'll make an exception for you because you weren't a politician when I met you but you wouldn't have to worry about me."

"And I'm a lowly assistant, anyway," Natalie drawled, making it clear she didn't actually think she was a lowly anything. It was just an expression. "Not a politician. But visiting me would probably have some of the perks of visiting one."

"Such as?" Jim asked, still smiling.

[whenshewasnice]

"Well, I won't be living in squalor." Not like a princess or anything, either. But comfortably enough, in a nice area. "Probably with some diplomatic privileges, too. Too early to tell but I'm sure fun things might be arranged."

[pursuedthestars]

"Oooh, diplomatic privileges," he said, wiggling his eyebrows at that. "Sounds enticing."

Natalie snorted, quietly. "Well, it's more than most recent high school grads have to offer."

"I think you've persuaded me," Jim said though he'd already been persuaded for the most part. "I'll come visit."

[whenshewasnice]

"I think you would've been persuaded if I'd just pointed out I'll have a nice bed there," she quipped. "You're easy."

She wasn't wrong.

"Yeah, but the extra amenities just makes the decision easier," Jim said. "And I am easy."
